About the Author
Tina Macnaughton was born in Edinburgh and completed a BA Honours in Illustration before going on to work as a graphic designer for Grosvenor of London and Hasbro. Tina worked in the Cayman Islands for a year before going to college and has been on many safaris as well as sailing around Britain and Europe. She now lives in Guildford. Tina has illustrated a number of books for Little Tiger Press, including the best-selling Little Hedgehog stories, One Snowy Night, One Winter's Day and One Rainy Day.

Format:Board book
I bought this book as a Father's day present from my 5 month old son. Although it is a board book the cover itself has a spongy finish which gives a real quality feel to it and all the corners are curved to prevent injury. The board pages are not the big chunky kind so will not be as hardwearing but this is not going to be a book that we will let him munch on anyway. The illustrations are soft with an almost watercolour appearance and features a cute little bear enjoying time with his Daddy. The text is big without taking over the pages and is written in a playful font with approx 5 - 10 words per page. Extract " When I'm with you, Daddy... I am big and strong and tall." I love this book and I'm sure it will be one that my son and his Daddy will read together a lot.

Measuring in around 22 cm x 22.5 cm, this version of the beautiful book has a lightly padded, round-edged cover, with an endearing illustration. Short and sweet, with 18 pages altogether - one of each double-page spread with a line of thick black text.
From the back cover:-
'When Little Bear is with his daddy, he is the bravest, tallest and happiest Little Bear in the whole world.....
Soft illustrations and tender text bring to life the special bond between father and child in this beautiful book.
Look out for My Mummy and Me, to complete this perfect set.'
Inside the covers are cardboard pages with pastel atmospheric illustrations, from the author, Tina Macnaughton, as Daddy Bear and Little Bear start out for a special 'together day' in the woods.
Little Bear goes on to list all the special feelings Daddy Bear gives him in gentle rhyme format:-
'When I'm with you, Daddy....
I am big and strong and tall.
I can fly right to the sky and never fall!
I'm the very bravest bear......
.....when I know that you are there.......'

Format:Board book
the book is really nice,feels very good quality.i bought it for my husband to be given from our 9 months old son for his xmas and it was perfect for that.the only thing that i dont like and its quite major is that there hardly any words in it so its not really a bed time book.its fine for our son but when he gets older hes not going to be interested in it

I bought this for my one year old but found it very boring. Each page has a similar colour palette and doesn't seem to catch her eye much

YOUGER AGE BOOK ESPECIALLY FOR DAD
EXCELLENT QUALITY BOOK, IDEAL XMAS STOCKING FILLER FROM THE CHILDREN. DAD LOVES IT AS IT IS SHORT TO READ, THE PICTURES ARE LOVELY. WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND.

A perfect gift for Daddy's!
