About the Author
Chris Haddon is a multi-disciplinary designer with almost 20 years experience. He has a huge passion for all things retro and among his collection of vintage caravans is his studio which is a converted 1960s Airstream. He had for many years hankered after the perfect classic car to accompany his retro caravans. The journey that he took when looking for the car he now owns led him to admire and consider many various possibilities along the way.

I bought this book because a friends car is in it and i love classic cars. Lots of the cars in this book are cars that i have seen at shows in the Essex villages close to where i live so it was nice to read the stories about them.

I am very much of the opinion that a book can grab your attention and transport you off to another place. This would be true of coffee table car books but for the "top trumps" like way many are presented. We can flick through and decide upon our favourite but we are just left with a quick hit of adreneline as we consider the horse-power tables.
This book is so much more: The seach for the unusual that is rare and the everyday raised to classic by common appeal. I love this book because it is an appreciation of the beauty and quality that endures and is good for the soul.

This is a super book, packed with fantastic, beautiful photos and interesting stories about the 'lives' of some of these much loved cars. My favourite is the Plymouth Belvedere, what a fantastic wedding car and the owners tattoo is great! In fact thats one of the things I love about this book, not only do the owners share their stories but some of them are also featured in the photographs.

I have not spoken to the person I bought this for so can not really rate it one way or the other. As the person it was bought for is a car buff I hope it was interesting for him.
