I bought the Muvifix guide as I like to know what the particular software is capable of, I have used Adobe Premiere Elements from version 5 & in the past used the pro versions of the same product –and I am still learning!!! – The book I find is fine for those who are used to using Adobe Premiere Elements, but for a novice or first time user this book may look daunting an perhaps a “classroom type” Book may well suit better. Only quibble with the Book is some of the chapters aren’t really necessary like “How to make photo books” etc which is more a photo editing chapter, OK you may have bought the dual product (Premiere & Photoshop Elements as a package) but the book is primarily for the Videographer and should remain that way other than that the Book is well presented, colourful and easy to understand – a must for the Adobe brigade. Just buy it if you Have Premiere Elements 11 you’ll learn a lot from it.

Yes, this was what I needed to understand how to run Premiere Elements (10/11). It is well written and with logical structure. Language rather strict, and thus leaves less room for misunderstanding - especially if English is not the native language "jokes", and wringling with words make instructions harder to understand.

Definately what I needed (got the color version of the book).

With some good video-clips I got a very good grip on how to use Preiemiere Elements.

Having just purchased an Imac and then Premiere Elements 11 I bought this book to help me get into the new software, editing video. From the first moment that I started using this book I found it so easy to follow and understand. Well written and plenty of advice and guidance. Well worth the price paid. Would recommend this to anyone

Essential, if New to the Art and Starting With PE-11 4 Jan. 2013

No manual comes with the Adobe software. This book provides essential details that you might never discover from trial and error. Consider also purchasing "Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Classroom in a Book," which attacks the learning experience as a tutorial.

Good Job! 21 Jan. 2014

After being disappointed with Adobe's documentation on multiple photographic, videographic and word processing software programs, I was delighted to find a well organized, detailed book on Premiere Elements 11. I don't like the "one size fits all" approach found in too much documentation these days. I currently use Photoshop CS5, Photoshop Elements 11, Premiere Elements 11 and utility software from Canon and Sony. The Muvipix Guide ranks right up there with the best of the Canon and Sony documentation.

I moved to Adobe Premiere Elements from Avid Pinnacle Studio, which was performing badly for me.The steep learning curve for Premiere Elements had me frustrated. I was unable to make headway with the help files and videos supplied. The difficulty is with terminology -- I can only find the answer to a question if I know how to phrase it so that the help system can recognize it. This didn't happen.

I struggled for a couple of weeks, then I bought this book and within a week was able to get going, making a movie with lots of stills that I like to zoom and pan. I haven't yet completed a project -- it's still early days for a review -- but I believe that between the program and this book I'll be able to make an attractive movie.

I have used this guide before with Premiere Elements 7. when I upgraded to PE11 I was shocked to see a completely new interface. I tried to buy this in a Kindle eBook version but it was not available (disappointing). I find this reference manual to be better than the previous version, and this may be needed to make up for the new interface in PE11. The information and tips are useful. I am very happy with this book and recommend it to future users of PE11.
