I am very happy to own the original recording of this french band who sings in english. They say that they took their name Revolver to pay homage to the Beatles' record. They know their classics, from their contemporaries to Henry Purcell, to whom we owe " Music for a While", a treat of 12 songs charged with fine harmonies and catchy tunes.
My only criticisme is that one has to log in to access the video covers of this CD, which include other gems like:
- Because
- This Boy
- Helplessly Hoping
- Can't Help Falling In Love
As an import the price may be steep, but how precious is it to discover talent in the making?
Could it be a new Beatle phenomenon? ... but this time from across the channel as Revolver.

These guys have talent, no doubt about it - Melodies of interest, arrangements of great quality, lyrical harmonies which immediately catch the ear. A great future.
Unfortunately, their lyrics lack inspiration (after all it's not their mother tongue). Incorrect stress in English (the French call it "accent tonic), childish catch-phrases, etc.. What they need is an English-speaking lyricist...... I could help them out .....

I heard about Revolver on NPR and decided to check them out. I'm glad I did, it's very beautiful music, especially in it's simplicity.
