Delicious Synth Pop Provides Warm Message, 15 Sep 2001
By Steve White - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Music from the Ocean Picture (Audio CD)
Listening to the Echoing Green, it's not hard to understand why front man Joey B. calls this aggressive smile pop at its finest. Music from the Ocean Picture contains track after track of glorious synth pop sure to put some warmth in your heart.
Infectious keyboards, tough loops, and passionate vocals add up to what may be the band's best work to date.
Song highlights include the sugary sweet "Goodbye", the synth love song "Beautiful", the bouncing "Trip", and the harsh programming and brutally honest lyrics of "Epiphany".
The rest of the album isn't filler. Rather, it's song after song of music that made the Echoing Green what it is today -- one of the best indie synth pop bands in all the land.

Always Entertaining, 16 Oct 2008
By Joseph Phillips "D-Spair" - Published on Amazon.com
If you like upbeat and flowing music, then The Echoing Green has you covered. I was biased against this band at first by the fact that they are religiously motivated, but that is only tangential to the music they create. The album will be hours of listening enjoyment for anyone willing to give it a try.

Unique Trance/Dance Tracks, 5 Nov 2007

This album would be worth the two forever memorable 'December' mixes alone, but despite that, it's packed full of melodious, catchy tracks like 'She's Gone Tragic' the very melancholy 'Iona', as well as plenty of other up-beat danceable tracks like 'Goodbye.'
