From beginning to end, this movie is an absolute gem and well worth watching over and over again! Action-packed and some romance thrown in for good measure too! There is also an absolutely stunning soundtrack to it featuring the likes of Van Halen,Stevie Nicks,Belly,Red Hot Chili Peppers,K.D.Lang and many more!
You won't be disappointed with this film,it will have you on the edge of your seat!

4.0 out of 5 stars A great soundtrack for a good movie 12 April 2006
Format:Audio CD
Twister had a fairly obvious "rural" feel to it. A gang of storm chasers braving the elements whilst driving along empty roads in American mid-west. Its fitting then that there's a couple of country songs included here, most notably Alison Krauss' excellent "Moments like this". Her voice is fantastic and it provoked me into buying a few more of her albums. Lisa Loeb, Belly and K.D. Lang provide some wonderful numbers too. For the rockers amongst us, Van Halen and the Goo Goo dolls provide some grunt with Humans Being and Long way down respectively. This is rounded off by Stevie Nicks and her unusual voice with Twisted, which was clearly written with a tornado-chasing movie in mind.

Like any compilation there are a couple of numbers that let it down. This time its the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Shania Twain providing the "hard to listen to" songs that don't flow and don't keep you interested. You may like them to me they feel awkward and disjointed.

The only song missing from this CD was the Eric Clapton song that Dusty had playing in his truck. Its a shame but that's life.

3.0 out of 5 stars Where's the best songs? 20 July 2009
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I love the movie "Twister", I mean, Helen Hunt in a wet t-shirt, corrr!!! There's a lot of good music to enjoy as the special effects make all sorts fly through the air, including a poor cow, including the excellent Van Halen offering "Humans Being". But having bought the soundtrack CD there are some glaring omissions, particularly Eric 'God' Clapton, and Rainbow (or is it Deep Purple? It's Ritchie 'Son Of God' Blacmore whatever!), which rather detracts from the quality of the music. So, rather than being a great soundtrack, a real hurricane music force, what we're left with is a stiff breeze, a damp squib. Avoid, buy the DVD instead, much more fun!
