This should interest both Burton and Elfman fans.
But a tribute cd played by an Orchestra of Orchestrated music doesn't sound all that exciting or different however there are a a number of positives.

For a start is great hearing the Sweeney Todd without the vocals even though the main theme sounds alittle flat the rest makes up for it.
I felt there was to much batman (12 minutes + Batman returns) especially when Plant of the apes and Big Fish had been overlooked.

The piano solos from Corpse bride work very well together, A *slightly* different take on Beetlejuice was a treat while the rest is all pretty decent, Not as much percussing on theses recordings then the real ones which makes them a lot more softer and quieter.. having that 'what lurks behind feeling'. Only real weak point is probably Ed wood which is identical to the original but like the ST theme its just too flat.

Its over 60 minutes long, the sleeve had an interesting article written but the chap who put this tribute together..

Burton and Elfman fans should get a kick form hearing theses slightly inferiorly and different take on those fantastic pieces of music. casual fans probably wont get that much from this.

Nice Tribute!

Tim Burton Music 7 Sept. 2008

The nice things about this is that the music is all instrumental. So it's nice to just hear the music without anyone singing. I have all these from the original movie soundtracks, but this is different enough. If you are a fan of the music from Burton's music then this CD is a must have.

Geez - I SO wanted to love this!!! I love Tim Burton movies but not only do I not love this - I don't even like it! Even though I recognize a couple of the songs this just sounds like one long, boring score. I've listened to it 3 times so far and it hasn't grabbed me - I'll have to listen to it some more and see if it grows on me. It's not good in my opinion - I'm disappointed - it's not for me.

For the true Tim Burton Fan 9 Jan. 2012

If you are looking for a soundtrack that can take you back to your favorite Tim Burton movies then this is it. You get the main titles from his famous movies without the small instrumentals of the movies that may make you forget which movie you are watching. Yet if you like yo be immersed in a soundtrack this isn't the Cd for you because it is very short. That was my only negative about this complilation.
