I have waited a long time for this anthology to be released. Many of Louise's songs that I've known and loved over the years are here as well as several I've never heard before. The tracks from her rock band "Louise & The Creeps" are a wonderful bonus.
It would have been nice if the anthology was available on CD. People like myself who still like to own a copy of things that are actually tangible are a dying breed. I guess I have to adapt to the digital age. Also, there are several songs missing from this anthology (that I know of, there are probably others):
"Hungry For You, Boy" A 1984 single that happens to be my favorite song of hers.
"Be Mine (Be My Baby)" From the same 1984 single as "Hungry"
"The Right Combination" From her 1985 self-titled LP
"One Monkey Don't Stop No Show" From her 1985 self-titled LP
"I Surrender" A 1986 single from the Chrysalis label
That's a bummer. Despite that, I still give this collection five stars because it is awesome. Louise has tackled many different music genres with much aplomb. It is evident in this collection. From rock to pop, funk to house, Louise makes it her own.
