Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Tough, but stylish, a hitman is never seen until he wants to be. If the target has noticed your immaculate Saville Row suit and your Smith and Wesson .44 magnum, it’s already too late. Turn the volume up and pull the trigger, no one enjoys the scream.

CUSTOMER PROFILEAlpha-males, who love action. They love The Bourne Identity, big tackles at the footy and car crashes at the Grand Prix. They like mainstream rock which gets them charged up, and they want to be able to make it loud when they need to. The Hitman’s lethal design tells you that it means business, just like these guys do.

ON A MORE SERIOUS NOTE…

Specially designed for maximum noise isolation, The Hitman comes with 3 different sizes (small, medium and large) of flexible, silicone earbuds that allow you to customize the earphones for the optimum, comfortable fit. With the correctly sized earbuds you can ensure that ambient noises, such as the people chatting next to you on the bus, will be shut out and all you will hear is your music without worrying about the earphones falling out.

With volume control integrated into the cable, you can optimise the level of sound for every situation without the hassle of getting your MP3 player out of your pocket. Simply plug in and feel the rhythm through the micro sized dynamic drive technology, delivering high fidelity sound directly into the ear.

Don’t be fooled by the sleeked down appearance. The Hitman isn’t one for hiding in the shadows and, boy, can they pack a punch!

The sound quality is awesome from these headphones, very smooth, with decent bass. And that is the only reason they've got two stars. The build quality is awful, mine are now being held together with Sellotape - the wire covering has come loose and exposes the wire and the jack cover has also come off. Not impressed, it may just be about luck of the draw with whatever set you get, but I do wish that the build matched the sound quality!

Let's start with the positives: these are attractive looking earbuds that deliver a generally good audio experience. They also come with a symmetrical y-shaped lead that includes an in-line volume control. They are also nicely (if needlessly) well packaged and come with a nice carry pouch.

On the negative side in a like-for-like test these earphones fall short of producing the outstanding dynamic sound of my comparison earphones (Creative EP-630s). The Muse headphones while producing a similarly impressive bass response, sound less distinct in the midrange and positively murky at the top end. By contrast the EP630s give outstanding sound reproduction throughout the range. What's more they are also quieter than the EP630s and annoyingly they don't indicate which earbud is for which ear. And the clincher? The EP-630s are currently a quarter - yes, a quarter - of the price of these Hitman 'phones. They perhaps may not look as good (although even that's subjective - personally I prefer the more discrete look of the EP630s) but in almost every other way they are superior. So, save yourself a bundle and get better-sounding earphones to boot.

    This one's a no-brainer!

These headphones promise clear sound, durability and generally great sound on the go. It FAILS to deliver on this promise. The only way to get any clear sounds is when you have them up at their loudest, and then one of the headphones breaks because it cannot cope with the loudness, then that leads to the crackly as one of the headphones are blown, which then leads to loudness in one ear, which then leads to EXTREME ANNOYANCE!!!!! if you have the right song then these headphones can be amazing but other than that a huge waste of £[]. Not worth £[] if im honest. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Ok, so I may not match the profile of the typical customer. I'm female for a start and I don't tend to lurk suspiciously in shadows if I can help it! However, I do love a good action movie and want my sound clear and loud when on the go - something that I found can be easily achieved with these headphones. Like the name, they knocked me dead! I love them. I love them. I love them!

I have brought several different types of headphone from the Muse collection from Amazon for gifts and personal use and there has not been one pair that has let me down. I personally loved the style of these Hitman headphones as they were sleek and stylish and also quite discrete - the bright white standard headphones are just a bit too obvious for me and I don't really want to be displaying to the world and his dog that I am carrying an expensive iPod under my coat when I walk home on my own from work. The good thing about The Hitman is unlike the standard headphones you can control volume from an inbuilt control in the cord which means I don't have to keep fishing my iPod out of my pocket when a quieter/louder song comes on. This can be especially difficult in the winter when I am likely to be wearing gloves etc. when walking which make altering volume on the iPod itself near on impossible. This is when the in-line control really is a God send.

Sound quality - as I have found with other Muse headphones I own is extremely good. One of the best I have heard for the money. Sound is smooth, it can be loud enough to blow your ear drums if you want it to and there is no tinny or muffled sound.
