I'd read Toujours Dead first so it was great to be able to go back and see how it all started with Maggie and Laurent. I really liked the pace of this book, even though it was longer it pretty much flew by. Plus, since I live in Atlanta it was nice to read about some of my stomping grounds. I enjoyed this book very much. These books stand alone nicely, However, I would start with Little Death by the Sea and then read Toujours Dead.

I've been following the author's blog (susan kiernan-lewis.wordpress.com) and now checked out the book. Beware, this could be an expensive read...you'll want to go to France based on the beginning. I loved her descriptions. Her style takes a little getting used to as she has sudden chapter changes, and I can say I did not guess the storyline or see the surprises. It was well done. I look forward to the next book. Worth the money and time to read. A trip to France...maybe not.
