Product Description

Det. Roland March is a homicide cop on his way out. But when he's the only one at a crime scene to find evidence of a missing female victim, he's given one last chance to prove himself. Before he can crack the case, he's transferred to a new one that has grabbed the spotlight--the disappearance of a famous Houston evangelist's teen daughter.

With the help of a youth pastor with a guilty conscience who navigates the world of church and faith, March is determined to find the missing girls while proving he's still one of Houston's best detectives.

Very good 2 Jan 2011
Format:Paperback
Intelligent detective crime thriller following the trail of a disillusioned homicide cop sidelined with suicide cases.

It's no easy ride, there are no easy clues, rather we are treated to a more realistic view of cracking a murder. And yet it's still eminently readable, believable characters and enough morsels to keep you wanting to read more.

Well written for a debut. An unexpected treat.

Can't wait for the next one.

Fantastic 5 July 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I could not put this book down. I wanted, no, I needed to know what was going to happen next. There are twists, turns and excitment the whole way. It is intelligantly written in an entertaining, easy to understand, keep you on your toes, kind of way.
I completley recommend this to anyone who likes crime novels, and even if you don't you may like this one.
Give it a read.

Great Police thriller 9 July 2011
By Maria TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
A detective in Texas is sent from the murder unit to being loaned out to other departments after failing to live up to his previous record following a family tragedy. He is then given another chance to get back to homicide, then sidelined to missing persons then back again. This is , as you can imagine a quite involved story, with lots of suspects & many overlapping events. There are also many false leads, & it kept me interested right to the end. Excellent. I look forward to more of this series.

Better than the title suggests
Interesting and engaging, despite the 'out of favour' cop cliche. The Houston setting is different. I agree with another reviewer about the difficulty of visualizing the hero -... Read more
