Infectious hard rock poison! 23 Mar 2010
By Nikiforos V. Skoumas - Published on Amazon.com
"Human Temple" is a Finnish melodic hard rock band on their second album `Murder of crows'. Truthfully, I did not know much about the group and their musical direction but word of mouth spoke so well of them that I was intrigued to get their new effort. The band consists of Janne Hurme (v), Jori "Jorge" Tojander (k), Harri Kinnunen (b), Petri Lehto (d) and Petri Ilvonen (g).

"Human Temple", for the most part, is built on ambitious rhythm patterns, colorful lead guitar work, AOR-like keys and protesting lead vocals; And the combo works! The inventive, still catchy, rhythms blend amazingly with the core melodies of each song (whether these come from the vocals, guitars or keyboards).

`Murder of crows' is such a delight to listen to, as the music flows effortlessly, its quality is unquestionably consistent and this is a rare occasion where a rock album demonstrates attack and colorful atmospherics at the same time. Playing the album through a few times, one gets a fairly good idea as to why it took `Human Temple' five years, since their debut, to release this second album; I suppose it takes quite some thought and possibly trial& error process to reach such a complete and intelligent result as `Murder of crows'.

Favorite songs include `Ghost of you', `Not my fault', the speedy rocker `Emily'and the addictive `Secret'.

I am convinced that `Murder of crows' will satisfy even the most demanding of hard rock, melodic rock and AOR fans.
