Murder with Majesty 22 Jun 2003
By L O'connor TOP 1000 REVIEWER
Format:Hardcover
Auguste Didier, a French chef who loves English food, just wants
to be left in peace to get on with his cooking. unfortunately for him he keeps stumbling on murders, this time at a grand wedding party at which his majesty King Edward VIII is present.
Auguste and his friend Inspector Rose of Scotland Yard have to set about solving the crime, helped and hindered by a variety of
interesting supporting characters. A clever plot with lots of humour and excitement, and of course lots of delicious food.
Auguste and Rose are among the most agreeable and interesting of
fictional detectives, they complement each other perfectly, shrewd serious Rose and passionate impetuous Auguste.
