About the Author

Timothy Knapman is both writer and playwright and was cast adrift on a boat made of books when he was very small, but made his way to Surrey where he now lives. Adam Stower was washed ashore in Brighton where he studied illustration and still lives with his daughter, Mary, a host of seagulls and a slight limp.

I work in an infants school, where we used two other Timothy Knapman books as set texts for literacy in Year 2. The children absolutely loved them, and the work related to the texts was brilliant. I also have a son in year 2,and when I ordered those 2 for him,I discovered this one, and bought it as well. The pictures (by Adam Stower) are wonderful, and the text is exciting and multi-modal. Boys are notoriously reluctant readers, but this book encourages them to read without actually realising they are doing it!(Don't worry, girls love it too, and it's a great change from pink princesses!)My son loves this book-like most little boys, he is fascinated by dinosaurs, and would love to have Tyrannosaurus Rex galloping around his bedroom. My only slight problem with this book is that I wish it were just slightly longer!

We love dinosaurs! 14 Nov 2008
Format:Paperback
My daughter loved this book, she loves dinosaurs, she loves adventure, we both love the humour. Lovely illustrations and once again, just like the other 'Mungo' stories a twist in the tale. More please!

Yet another great book in the series. I have bought lots of books in this series for my nephew and he loves them. They are very well written, illustrated and the effort you can put into the characters makes it a fab read. My nephew always reaches for these books at bed time and he is 10 today, so not just for the very young!
