I work in an infants school, where we used two other Timothy Knapman books as set texts for literacy in Year 2. The children absolutely loved them, and the work related to the texts was brilliant. I also have a son in year 2,and when I ordered those 2 for him,I discovered this one, and bought it as well. The pictures (by Adam Stower) are wonderful, and the text is exciting and multi-modal. Boys are notoriously reluctant readers, but this book encourages them to read without actually realising they are doing it!(Don't worry, girls love it too, and it's a great change from pink princesses!)My son loves this book-like most little boys, he is fascinated by dinosaurs, and would love to have Tyrannosaurus Rex galloping around his bedroom. My only slight problem with this book is that I wish it were just slightly longer!
