Product Description

When Cait, a chaotic single mother, becomes the agony aunt for a glossy parenting magazine, she thinks she might be the single worst person to do the job.

But despite her early unwillingness, she gradually realises that the women writing might really need her help. Perhaps mothers need to realise that they're not actually expected to be perfect, after all?

Then Cait gets an email from a mysterious reader - a single dad who simply signs his name R...

I have never written a review prior to this but I just had to write one for Mummy said the F word. It is a truely fabulous book - feel good and funny but with moments that had me with tears streaming down my face. I am sleep deprived and it's so unputdownable that I actually stayed up past midnight (by choice!!) to read it. If you are looking for something entertaining, funny and rather touching, I would highly recommend this book. Fiona Gibson's work is very empathetic - she makes me feel almost normal!

A really good book which is very obviously written by a real mother who knows all the stresses and strains of parenting, and doesnt think it's all like the glossy magazines. Not only that, but very accurate with what it's like to be a single mother, and not the usual sterotype stuff. A single parent in fact has to do twice the job with twice the criticism. It charts the story of Caitlyn and her difficult 3 children in getting a new job, seperating from her cheating husband and doing the very best she can with what she's got. Will it work out OK? That's the question! Very funny, an easy read and superbly written, I would definitely recommend this to parents who know the secrets which she is talking about, and to people without kids who would like an insight!
