Just the sort of product I was looking for. You know when you think "if only there is something that does..."
In this case, I had a rotary electric lawnmower with blunt blades - it was trying to beat the grass into submission rather than cut it!

I recommend taking the blade off for sharpening and fixing the blade in a vice. It takes 30 seconds or so to get the technique right - and hey presto! sharp neat blades within a couple of minutes.
Simple!

A good quality product which does the job well saving the cost of buying a replacement blade. The package states that the blade can be sharpened in situ without removing it from the mower but I took the blade off anyway.
Well packaged and very prompt delivery. Recommended.

Used it today very easy to use and did the job. I would advise using gloves and goggles and there was a lot of sparks

Managed to sharpen one side and a half of a mower bladed before the stone began to slip. I tried to tighten the screw to no avail. Will try some other things before throwing out as it did a good job while it worked.

Lots of promise but quality of components a let down, the stone never made any impression on my Flymo blade and all that happened was that the plastic guide melted - very disappointing

Bought this to help put an edge back on 8 hatchets somewhat blunted with use by Littlehampton Bonfire Society torch makers. It did the job quickly, once I had managed to anchor my drill in my old workmate, and with enough wear left on it to keep my small garden tools sharp for quite a good while: I don't have a lawn so no mower to test it on. Almost worth 5 stars but only if at a couple of quid less.

Connected to drill, place on to metal that needs sharpening, start drill, only problem is, the screw at the front unscrews itself and comes apart. Tighten it up again and it loosens again.
