I bought the Multi Chopper hoping to make smoothies, whip cream and dice vegetables. Unfortunately, this machine broke during the first smoothie, with fresh fruit, yogurt and protein powder. The bit that connects the cross blade with the motor in the base was completely shaved down so that it no longer made contact with the lower bit. I understand that machines are faulty sometimes, and was more than willing to replace the Multi Chopper and give it another try. However, I've found the customer service appalling. As the buyer, I am required to pay for return shipping and then further shipping to get the new Multi Chopper to me! I contacted the company asking if I could return just the faulty piece, to save on shipping cost, and they completely ignored my query, instead just reminded me of my obligation for the shipping cost. Please, new customers, choose the Amazon version of this product, because their customer service is far superior!

My replacement multichopper arrived last week. Lo, and behold, 4 blends later, the same problem crops up with the blades; they're shaved down to nothing and I can't blend anymore. Again, the predicament arises that I cannot get a return unless I pay for shipping, and I can't get a refund because I've used the machine. Yes, I've used the machine and it's rubbish. This company should stand by their products a bit more than saying, 'Ha! You bought it and used it you silly girl, now you own a crap product for life!' I myself am going to order the Amazon version of this product...
