Book Description

A contemporary mystical Islamic philosopher offers clarification about common misconceptions of the Islamic concept of God.

Hulusi is an Islamic scholar whose writings mirror the mystical dimension of Islam known as Sufism, made well known in the U.S. through translations of the Sufi poet-theologian Rumi. But many who read the English translations of Rumi fail to realize the complexity of the system of spiritual thinking that Sufism represents. Hulusi explicates one of the most difficult concepts in mystical Islam--the notion that "Allah," commonly misunderstood in the West and even in parts of the Muslim world as "God," encompasses more than the word "God" can illuminate. Drawing upon his interpretations of the Quran, Islam's most sacred scripture, Hulusi claims that nowhere in Muhammad's transmission of the Quran is there the assertion that Allah is a god. Instead, Hulusi writes that Allah is "an infinite, unlimited, whole One, in which case...there is nothing in existence other than Him." The consequences of this assertion are that individual lives are fated by Allah, predestined to heaven or hell after physical death. The point of religion, writes the author, is to gain nondualistic awareness of Allah, which is realized through essential self-knowledge and the rejection of illusionary dualities in daily life. The author relies on short paragraphs to frame his beliefs and uses abstract language to describe consciousness, but the gist of these abstruse ideas is helpfully noted in bold throughout the book. One can only imagine the difficulty translator Atalay faced in converting the author's esoteric Turkish style into readable English. Yet it does read clearly as a kind of Sufi manifesto of faith.

Readers interested in learning about the Sufi spiritual philosophy hinted at in Rumi's poetry might profit from this deeply considered study but only after reading the Quran in an accessible English translation. - Kirkus Reviews

THIS TRANSLATION HAS BEEN REVISED IN MARCH 2012!

Why not just Allah? Why Muhammad's Allah?

This unique book explains that Allah is not a god (deity) and that this god-concept we have all come to embrace, as a result of misleading information and conditioning, is not the Allah expounded by Muhammad (saw).

Everyone, from the most learned to the most ignorant, has a concept of God.

A God that we love, get angry with, judge and even accuse, at times, for doing wrong by us! We imagine this God, who sits on a star in the heavens or dwells somewhere in space, to be like a benevolent paternal figure or a majestic sultan!

Those with broader views (!) are well aware, of course, that such a God cannot exist and claim they do not believe in a God, proudly declaring themselves as atheists.

Whereas, neither the aforementioned believers who postulate a God with their hearsay knowledge and conditionings, nor the atheists who deny and reject the idea of a God, have any awareness of Allah as explained by Muhammad (saw)!

So what is the reality of Allah revealed by Muhammad (saw)?

Muhammad (saw), who articulated the Quran to us, taught us there is no God, that there is only Allah; that there is a System present within life, by which those who fail to comply, are led to suffer the consequences of their own actions.

If we live with the awareness of the existence of an afterlife, our primary concern should be to know Allah and the life awaiting us after death, so that we may prepare accordingly.

Taking this into consideration, let us now try to understand the One denoted by the name Allah disclosed by Muhammad (saw).

About the Author

Ahmed Hulusi (Born January 21, 1945, Istanbul, Turkey) contemporary Islamic philosopher. From 1965 to this day he has written close to 30 books. His books are written based on Sufi wisdom and explain Islam through scientific principles. His established belief that the knowledge of Allah can only be properly shared without any expectation of return has led him to offer all of his works which include books, articles, and videos free of charge via his web-site. In 1970 he started examining the art of spirit evocation and linked these subjects parallel references in the Quran (smokeless flames and flames instilling pores). He found that these references were in fact pointing to luminous energy which led him to write Spirit, Man, Jinn while working as a journalist for the Aksam newspaper in Turkey. Published in 1985, his work called ‘Mysteries of Man (Insan ve Sirlari)’ was Hulusi’s first foray into decoding the messages of the Quran filled with metaphors and examples through a scientific backdrop. In 1991 he published ‘Prayer and Chant (Dua and Zikir)’ where he explains how the repetition of certain prayers and words can lead to the realization of the divine attributes inherent within our essence through increased brain capacity. In 2009 he completed his final work, ‘The Key to the Quran through reflections of the Knowledge of Allah’ which encompasses the understanding of leading Sufi scholars such as Abdulkarim al Jili, Abdul-Qadir Gilani, Muhyiddin Ibn al-Arabi, Imam Rabbani, Ahmed ar-Rifai, Imam Ghazali, and Razi, and which approached the messages of the Quran through the secret Key of the letter ‘B’.

More About the Author

Dear Reader,

Many have asked, who is Ahmed Hulusi, what is his mission?

Ahmed Hulusi was born on the 21st of January 1945, in Cerrahpasa, Istanbul, and was named Ahmed by his mother, and Hulusi by his father.

He spent the first 18 years of his life without any prior religious knowledge, believing only in 'a Creator'. As every time Ahmed Hulusi inquired about religion he was told "do not question, just do as you are told" he lived a seemingly 'irreligious' life according to his environment.

Three days after his father's death, on the 10th of September 1963, unable to decline his mother's wish, he attended Friday prayer, where he felt an immense inspiration and desire to understand the reality of religion. That same day he decided to always keep in a state of ablution and committed to performing the prescribed daily prayers (salat).

He commenced his religious education by studying the eleven volumes of Sahih Bukhari, published by the Turkish Directorate for Religious Affairs, the whole of the al-Kutub al-Sittah, and the most authentic Turkish translation of the Quran by the late Elmalili, one of Turkey's most eminent Quran scholars.

He then spent two years undertaking intense studies of the modern sciences. This exceptionally diligent period of education was then followed by an interval of intensive spiritual diets and retreats, leading him in 1965 to write his first book "Reflections" (Tecelliyat). This book holds an important place for Ahmed Hulusi as it is a conglomeration of his views and theological evaluations at the youthful age of 21.

In 1965 he took a solitary journey, as with all his endeavors, to fulfill his pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj).

His principle has always been "Do not be a blind follower of anyone! In the light of Muhammad SAW's teachings, choose and walk your own path in life independently!"

In 1970, when he was working for the Aksam newspaper of Turkey, he began researching the topic of spirits and the evoking of spirits, and published Turkey's first and only book in this field, "Spirit, Man, Jinn" (Ruh Insan Cin).

After discovering that the phrases in the Quran "smokeless fire" and "fire that inhabits the pores" are actually references made to "radial energy", Ahmed Hulusi began to further his research to decipher the teachings of the Quran in the light of science, and shared his findings in his book "The Mysteries of Man" (Insan ve Sirlari) in 1985.

Continuing to integrate the truths in the Quran with the contemporary sciences, Ahmed Hulusi established his understanding of religion on the foundation of the System and Order denoted by the One named Allah, and committed himself to "reading" the reality disclosed by Muhammad SAW, sharing his findings through his writings and the Internet.

Ahmed Hulusi, who has not only read and studied the aforementioned preeminent collections of Islamic Law, but who has also evaluated the works of many renowned Sufi saints and scholars, synthesizes his findings with scientific truths and presents them as an integrated system of rational reality. Ahmed Hulusi strongly believes that people should be evaluated according to their ideas rather than their personalities, and asserts that Muhammad SAW is the best example of this.

While, simple-minded people spend their lives busying themselves spreading rumors about 'personalities', he claims, developed minds engage with data resulting from ideas and thought processes.

In order to refrain from self-promotion, he has not put his surname on any of the books he has written over the last 40 years. He does not claim to be a guru or a teacher to anybody; on the contrary, he chooses to have very little contact with people despite the large demand and interest he receives.

He was forced to put his photos on his books after a few imposters claimed to be "Ahmed Hulusi," gathering and exploiting large crowds of people in the Anatolia region of Turkey.

Ahmed Hulusi, who always held an authentic press card, has never been occupied in a field of profession other than journalism. He has never been a member of any political, social or religious organization, foundation or establishment of any sort. He has spent his lifetime researching Islamic mysticism, or Sufism, and the modern sciences. He is also the first author to offer all his works, including his entire collection of books, writings, and video conferences absolutely free, fully downloadable from his Internet site.

All of his views and ideas are offered without any expectation of material gain.

Due to the February 28, 1997, "postmodern coup" in Turkey, Ahmed Hulusi and his wife Cemile moved to London, where they lived for a year, before settling in the USA, where he still resides today.

Ahmed Hulusi who prefers to live a relatively reclusive life in his small town, recommends that people re-evaluate the original teachings of Muhammad SAW and the Quran in the light of science, without depending on an intermediator.

According to Ahmed Hulusi, in respect of the System disclosed by Muhammad SAW, religious "positions" cannot exist. Every individual has the right to, and is obliged to directly interact with the teachings of Allah through Muhammad SAW and shape their lives accordingly.

Ahmed Hulusi claims, the only person one must follow is Muhammad SAW, as everyone else has a consultative role. He believes people are only accountable of the knowledge imparted by Muhammad SAW and the Quran; as all other views are "relative" and non-binding.

Due to this, Ahmed Hulusi does not encourage anyone to become his 'follower'. He advises people that they should question his teachings and do their own research. He says "don't believe me, find and verify the truth for yourself!"

Ahmed Hulusi is an Islamic intellectualist who tries to share his thoughts with those who have an intellectual and inquisitive mind!

All his works can be accessed and downloaded at the following sites:

Finally... It is important to remember that each person's understanding is according to his or her knowledge base.

Try and evaluate these books with your own minds.

Be concerned about the writings, not the writer.

Duly examine these truths that are complimentarily shared with you.

I hope these books, that are based on the truths of Allah and the System (sunnatullah) and that have the potential to give direction to one's eternal life, will open up new horizons for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars a must-read book 16 July 2010
By sonmez.k - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Until reading this book, I used to imagine a "God" who was living with his angels up in the sky but also kept an eye on his servants which he had created. Hence, I used to think this "God" chooses some of his good servants as his messengers and gives his commands to them via his angels. He asks from his messengers to tell everyone that if they do not obey the rules that he has determined, he will get angry with them and punish them by throwing them in to hell and if they obey the rules then he will be pleased with them and as a reward he will put them into his heaven...
But with this book I've learned that there is no such "God". In fact there is no "God" at all...
This book actually explains that "Allah" is not a "God". The book articulates the true meaning of the name "Allah" according to the "Sura al Ikhlas" in the Quran and the explanations given by Hazrat Mohammad (peace be upon him).

5.0 out of 5 stars THERE IS NO GOD, ONLY ALLAH 20 July 2010
By esintezer - Published on Amazon.com

''MOHAMMED'S ALLAH'' was a great book to read for me! In fact, I read all the other books of author Ahmed Hulusi but this one was the most unique one that I read. The book's goal is to explain 'There has never been, nor there will ever be a god!' to the readers. There has never been a god who sits upon sky and watches us, nor there will ever be! That universal consciousness, the cosmic consciousness, the UNIFIED FIELD of all the laws of nature, the QUANTUM POTENTIAL is within our essence. It is not an external entity. The One that is indicated with ALLAH name is the only ONE that ever existed. The Word of ONENESS (Kalimat-it Tawhid) in Koran confirms that: THERE IS NO GOD, ONLY ALLAH! The contemporary scientific data agrees with that, too. According to today's scientific data; we live in an illusion, a huge holographic universe that nothing is real. Everything that exists is only the informational images in truth, nothing ever has a separate existence in reality. Years ago I had a great chance to have a professor like famous quantum physicist John Hagelin, at university. I translated many scientific articles and videos from many scientists, including from him. They completely corroborate with this book. The book gives you the understanding of the One that is indicated as ALLAH according to the explanations given by RasulAllah Mohammed using the Surah of ONENESS (Surah of Ikhlas) from Koran. Therefore, I strongly recommend you to read this book and open your awareness to your Creator, your ESSENCE, the 'REAL you' with a new vision...

5.0 out of 5 stars Where is YOURS? 22 July 2010

After i read "Universal Mysteries" which is the another book of author Ahmed Hulusi; i really wondered that if a prophet has divine light of the "universe" and if his purpose is gathered the people for soul of humanity, how can he do that? "MOHAMMED's ALLAH" says that by telling the truth:"everybody has that light",
"there is no GOD who can give us some that light", "feel it inside and use it!". How does the system work? You can find the answer in that book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Let the trend show the way 20 July 2010

As an investor or an asset manager, you look for verification of a theory in your P/L. You have an idea - you implement it. If your theory and thought process are right you will eventually start seeing 'proof' as to its validity. It will show up in the form of profits.

The interpretation of a message needs to be viewed in a similar way. If we interpret it correctly - over time as science, knowledge and understanding evolve, we should start seeing 'proof' as to its validity.

We must therefore ask ourselves what are the developments in quantum physics, biology, astrology, astronomy, neurophysics and all other areas of scientific development pointing to. Do they not bring us one step closer each and every day to the definition of Allah so acutely described in this book? If thats so and if its the truth you seek - you might want to read this.
