4.0 out of 5 stars Good story, 28 Sep 2008
This is a simple story set in Yorkshire that is overflowing with ideas, and revels in the natural world around us. I really enjoyed the compassion and dry humour of a slightly peculiar and original book. I liked the short chapters, which made the whole thing flow along nicely. This is a tale not just for food lovers, though it does include a muffin recipe !
