music sends shivers down the spine. Anyone who loves this film shold rush out and get the soundtrack. Patrick doyle is magnificent

If you have seen this film, you would be well aware of the stunning backdrops and breathtaking scenery that Kenneth Branagh choose to depict Shakespeare's tale of love and comedy, yet this would not be nearly so succesfull had it not been supported by Patrick Doyle's excellent soundtrack. Quite simply, very few soundtracks have so perfectly complimented a film, and yet even on its own, it still retains the emotional charge and overwhelming sense of beauty that the film always captured. From the rhythmic drum filled dances through the soaring violin acompanied laments, listening is a pleasure from start to finish. "Oh divine air, now's his soul's ravished" Only Senor Benedict could eloquate it so perfectly.

Really good, it's just like re-watching the film in your head, and when you come to watch the film again, you notice the score more! Great work, Patrick Doyle!!

Not being a great lover of the Bard, I did enjoy Much Ado About Nothing, and I especially enjoyed Doyle's music for this film, unlike some sountracks this really worked well for me with its joyous and evocative music. I thoroughly recommend this CD. (although at the time of writing there are new ones at £76 - not sure I'd pay that much for a CD anyhow)

I have loved this film ever since my sister introduced it to me as a teenager. So listening to it again reminded me of very happy times. Now i listen to the soundtrack when i am studying, it helps me block out background noise and is very easy listening, makes a change from some of the dramatic classical music available. Enjoy.

This is the sort of soundtrack you would expect from Patrick Doyle. Very romantic, some lovely melodies and nothing too heavy. It suits the film perfectly. The only slight downDoyle - Much Ado About Nothing Original Soundtrackside is that it can leave you wishing for something a little darker at times to provide more contrast: the tunes tend to be either very romantic or quite playful. The fact there is not more variety in style isn't Doyle' fault - it's the nature of the film. However, I would firmly recommend this. A very enjoyable album.
