The show by itself is pure joy. Oriane Messina et Fay Rusling created lovable, unclichéd characters and mixed drama with comedy with great talent. Kudos to Nick Hurran, the director for the entire series.
You want be Gemma or Billy, depending on your point of view. You want to be that imperfect person that you see perfectly and you want to be that funny goofy ex-husband in love with that goofy hilarious swede, you want to be the father to Poppy, the adult in the relationship, you even want to be Alfie who is unashamed of how he is. But more so, you want it to never end.
It's funny, very well written, for a comedy it is so difficult not to stick to the surface of some cliche characters like Inca or Jason could have been.
As for the DVD. Besides the subtitles for the hearing impaired, there is nothing ; which is a real shame ; a gag reel would have been marvelous. Also, because of rights, probably, some of the music in the show had to be changed. The most notable one is in episode 6 where it should have been "she's like the wind" some other song is played, but the choice is not bad, not as great as the one the chose but not.
