Mridula Baljekar is the best-selling author of a number of Indian cookbooks, including Regional Cooking of India, 500 Indian Recipes and Curry. One of her publications won the Gourmand World Cookbook Award in the category of Best Asian Cookbook in the World. She contributes regularly to various magazines and newspapers in the UK, Australia and her native India. Mridula teaches Indian cooking in the UK and her lecture demonstrations in the US have been highly popular. As well as having appeared on numerous television and radio shows, she is also a consultant to a leading spice manufacturing company and an award-winning restaurant in Windsor, situated opposite the royal castle.
