Review
My prize for the best-looking picture book goes to Mr Pusskins. Extremely funny, and crammed with chic, colourful illustrations. (The Daily Mail )
In picture book fiction I was excited by the energy of Sam Lloyd's Mr Pusskins and Little Whiskers. Working in the tradition of the great British cartoonists, and with a limited colour palette reminiscent of 1950s magazines, this is a super sequel to Mr Pusskins. Any older child who has suffered at the hands of an innocent-looking younger sibling (yes, that's me) will respond knowingly to Lloyd's cat tale. Lovely.
(The Bookseller )
'How the grumpy old puss and the spirited kitten come to terms and settle into a comfortable life together is revealed with a sprightly touch in Sam Lloyd's hilarious illustrations.'
(The Guardian )
"Every element of this confidently crafted picture book is beautifully orchestrated. Irresistible."
