Mr Pod lives upstairs on his own with his cat Tod. Mr Piccalilli lives downstairs on his own with his cat Millie. Wouldn't it be nice if they could meet and be friends? Well, one day the cats go missing, and they do! Ages 3+.
About the Author
Penny Dolan is a children's writer and story-teller living in North Yorkshire. She has three untidy desks, two grown-up children and one rather bad cat. Nick Sharratt has worked since 1984 as a freelance illustrator for magazines such as Cosmopolitan and other women's titles. Nick has illustrated a number of awardwinning books by Jacqueline Wilson. He lives in Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire.

This is the story of two neighbours, Mr Picalilli and Mr Pod who each own a cat - Millie & Tod.
The story repeats constantly e.g.
Mr Pod lives in a ground floor flat and keeps himself to himself
Mr Picalilli lives in a first floor flat and keeps himself to himself
and so on
When both cats go missing a friendship is formed and when the cats are found the friendship continues
"and most of the time ... everyone was happy"
Very simple and sweet and the repetition meant my 3 year old knew what was coming and so really engaged with it. I thought it would be a one read wonder but we actaully renewed it 3 times from the library.
