DVD Description

Howard Marks built a world wide smuggling network that allegedly became responsible for the majority of marijuana smoked in the western world throughout the 1970s and most of the 1980s. Once an agent for MI6 and the orchestrator of major cannabis deals direct with members of the American CIA, Howard had 43 aliases and over 25 companies world-wide as cover for his truly international smuggling empire. His motivation became the legalisation of cannabis / marijuana, and a determined will to beat the system.

Recorded during the 'Mr Nice Live' tour of 27 sell-out dates, this DVD features the best of Howard's live performances along with extras including interviews with Howard and friends plus further surprises.

Billed by the London Evening Standard as 'The narcotic Tommy Cooper' Howard Marks takes the audience through over two hours of hilarious tales of his dealings with the Italian Mafia, MI6, the PLO, the IRA, the CIA and so on. The DVD extras include interviews with Howard, backstage footage and life on the road. If you are a big Mr Nice fan you should enjoy this. But I do think you do need to be a big Howard Marks fan to properly enjoy this - he is very much an acquired taste.

This is a great show for folks who are into a mixture of fact and comedy. Some of the things that this man has done could not be imagined during the trippiest trip!

OK, but.............. 6 April 2011
Although the show itself was good, I was expecting more from the DVD as Amazon said it included "additional features". The additional features were just brief clips of Howard walking towards the stage and a couple of clips of people walking into the theatre to see the show. Other "additional features" were of Howard smoking backstage, there were no interviews or extra material that would warrant "additional features". Overall, great show, would definitely to go see the man live, but in my opinion Amazon misrepresented the DVD in their ad.
