Amazon Verified Purchase
It was the fact that these little books came as board books that swayed the purchase for me. I did, however, not realise that these are just barely stories- all the books could have done with 3 or so more pages in order to say a bit more. There are only a few words on each page but more importantly the books end rather abruptly, even for a baby's story! The pictures are beautiful of course, and the whole thing is friendlier for baby being cardboard, but I will be buying the bigger, paperback versions from now on which are great and have more content. Not really worth much unless only wanting a minimum introduction to mr men. It is a shame that more slightly longer 'complete' stories couldn't be done in a board book format.

These books are ok for a 12-18 month old who is interested more in pictures, but for children who want a bit more of a proper story they aren't really enough in my opinion. There's only about 6 pages in each one, and only 1 or 2 lines of text on each page. I much prefer the slightly bigger paperback books which have a good 20 pages and a funny detailed story in them.
I bought these for my 2 and half year old daughter as she has just become a fan of Mr Men... they are cute but far too small and are not the original stories. They are a shortened version for younger kids with only a few words on each page... i would recommend for a baby below 18 months as they are too small and not detailed enough for my 2 year old! I would have liked to know this before buying them as i thought they were the full original story. However good value for 6 little board books and a nice little box to hold them in.

simply and efficient
Good, it keeps the baby occupied whilst he winds down for bed. However they are very short - just a character profile really.
