Review

"'Smooky palooki! This book is well brilliant! Andy Stanton is far too clever and funny and should be locked away in a very dark place that nobody can find.' (Jeremy Strong) 'Worryingly splendid' (Guardian)"

Product Description

Step once more into Lamonic Bibber my friends - if you dare. In the dead of night, when all the stars are sleeping and the moon's nipped off for a coffee, something dark and sinister stalks the streets of Lamonic Bibber. As a fog rolls in from the sea, carrying with it the unmistakable whiff of utter dread, an unearthly howl echoes through the cold midnight air. But who - or what - is at work here? Shabba me suspense-filled whiskers, this one will require some serious detective work.

good and bad 6 Oct 2011
By rosieb
Format:Paperback
It is a lovely book, we were disappointed to find that it is not a new story though! It is a cover of the world book day story written a few years ago. Whilst my son loved the stickers and the layout, he would have much preferred a new story to read.

Horribly fabulous! 17 Jan 2012
By Reikijo
Format:Paperback
This was bought for my grandaughter as she is a great fan of Mr.Gum. Brought up on a steady diet of Enid Blyton and pink ponies (nothing wrong with them!) the change of story line and language was refreshing for her. She involves her younger brother with the stickers and stories that go with them.As a retired primary teacher I welcomed the Mr.Gum books as I believe that children benefit from different stories and use of language; there is a clear message of what is acceptable behaviour and what is not that children can identify with.
