Every bit as good as his novels, No Beast So Fierce, Animal Factory, Dog Eat Dog and Little Boy Blue this is a down to earth, straight talking biog by ex-con Eddie Bunker who has latterly played many bit parts in films such as Reservoir Dogs and in films of his own books, Straight Time (No Beast) and The Animal Factory. There is also the small matter that he spent over 25 years of his life locked up in some of America's toughest prisons like Folsom and San Quentin. He doesn't apologise for what he has done or whinge about what happened to him, Bunker just tells it like it was - in a tremendously readable style. Forget about the pale UK imitations - read the real thing.
