Mr Bean is a classic in my opinion, and this last instalment of his TV show is no exception: Bean enjoying Christmas, and his very last episode - "Goodbye Mr Bean" both hilarious and well transferred to DVD. There's a but, this is a bit expensive for what it is. The DVDs do have some great extras like 3 animated episodes and the Comic Relief episode, but when you think in the US/EU you can get the entire set for around £20, this is poor value. Nevermind that, no subtitles and no audio description makes this rather poor. I know Bean says very little and describing everything would be a hard job, but at this price you'd think they'd put some effort in.
The stereo mix isn't very adventurous either, just a cleaned up original soundtrack. I think they should have made it 5.1 - as it would have been fun specially when he does the play with the manger and the dinosaur!
Brilliant show, obviously worth it for that, but the DVD extras and presentation just don't make it that attractive - I kicked myself when I saw the 1-5 DVD box set for the price of 1 and 2!
Lets hope they never put them on Blu Ray, the cost will be phenomenal to fans!
