These silent(ish) shorts starring Rowan Atkinson as the cunning but socially estranged loser instantly took me back to my late teenage years, when we all used to watch them as a family. Now I am re-enjoying them with my own children, and the pratfalls, bizarre situations, and surreal lifestyle of Mr Bean is capturing a new generation. I have to admit that after a while they get a bit wearing; 'Tee-Off Mr Bean', with its extended mini golf sketch, went on far too long, however overall the series doesn't outstay its welcome, and is an innocent and nostalgic delight.

Mr Bean has always been comedy gold, and with only a limited number of episodes produced, yet it still remains popular with adults and children alike, this boxset contains all episodes produced for the series, including a direct-to-video special and documentary on creating Rowan Atkinson's vegetable named character.
However, this boxset has afew snags, with scenes cut from a few episodes.
Merry Christmas Mr Bean - The scene of Bean winning the turkey, and The Best Bits of Mr Bean - re-edited in 2009, cutting down to 52 mins instead of the original 72 mins, removing Mr Bean helping a busker, Bean trying to stay awake in Church and Bean sitting in an exam.
For this, you are best off looking for the original Mr Bean videos in seeing these full versions.
Despite this, you get all 13 episodes, two unseen sketches, bonus episode and Documentary, what more could would you want?
