I've been playing this cd every day since I was six months pregnant and my son is now six months old, and both of us are still enjoying it, so that's a testament to how good it is. As a musician myself, I'm fussy about what I listen to, but unlike the usual mozart cds, they've gone to an effort to find an interesting choice of (mostly) less well known pieces, which are well-arranged so that there aren't any jarring changes of key from one piece to the next, and most of the performances are really fine, so that the whole effect is, indeed, very, very soothing and soporific. I play this at night and find it very helpful for getting my son off to sleep, but you could also use it as general relaxation music to de-stress to in pregnancy.

Sheer bliss this is. Total calm translated into wave after wave of beauteous melody. Perfect for baby, mommy and daddy too. Buy it.

I played this throughout pregnancy & when my new born arrived. I found it relaxing and thought it would benefit my son to hear the same pieces time & time again. He was a very chilled baby and relaxed as soon as I put the CD on, he is also quite musical (I don't know if there is a connection?!)
