Product Description

I haven't come across a series of comic strips quite like this before, but I fell in love with Joan Cornella's work after seeing several pages online.
The various strips in this collection juxtapose a sort of quaint, pastel 1950s-American-comic world with a macabre, subversive and surreal humour which won't be enjoyed by everyone. There is no dialogue, which makes it universal, and there are some laugh-out-loud visual jokes.
The print quality is excellent in the hardback issue, and I'm looking forward to Cornella's next release.

Surrealist genius humour. A short volume however each page packs a supreme punch. Refreshing to have such powerful narratives by pictures alone.

Joan is a surrealist, I didn't know he was the realest. This book champions everything from suicide to pedophilia, turning them into games or shock pieces, all whilst the protagonists smile away like they have just tried crack for the first time. buy this book to have your intellect ridiculed by this Spanish legend.
