Moving Wallpaper is a satirical ITV comedy-drama television series set in a TV production unit. The subject of the first series was the production of a soap called Echo Beach, each episode of which aired directly after the Moving Wallpaper episode about its production. Echo Beach: The lives of former lovers Daniel and Susan are complicated by teen angst, family loyalties and tested friendships. I know Echo Beach wasn't officially a success and only one series was made but I loved it and loved seeing the scenes of Looe and Watergate Bay in Cornwall. Jason Donovan is still gorgeous! Moving Wallpaper was one of the funniest things on TV and complemented Echo Beach really well.

Echo Beach is pretty much drival, but Moving Wallpaper is the funniest, and best written, comedy ITV have come up with for years.
I'd buy Moving Wallpaper on it's own, but the humour is amplified by watching how the events in Moving Wallpaper impact on Echo Beach. Even the most casual comments in Moving Wallpaper can have a knock on effect on Echo Beach, and looking out for these hilarious tie-ins is the only reason to watch the soap itself.

Echo Beach and Moving Wallpaper, seperatly I would rate Moving Wallpaper 5/5 and Echo Beach 3/5 so overall I went for 4/5.
Moving Wallpaper is a great, initative and witty comedy. Well put together this comedy provides many laughs and is a joy to watch. Ben Miller is excellent as producer Jonathen Pope, with his excellent mix of stupidness and funniness he fits in so well with his mis-cap set of writters. All the cast fit well together and the perfect mix of need to write scripts and trivial events provides laughs a plenty throughout the episodes. A pure joy.
Then you go on to Echo Beach, it goes well with Moving Wallpaper but on its own as a soap I dont think it would make it. The storylines can be quite weak and pointless, and without a star studded cast, sexy scenes and the views of Cornwall I dont think anyone would have tuned in to watch this. Although it wasn't really bad it could have done with improvement.
Overall, I reccomend buying this boxset because you will get an excellent comedy, and as an accomplice a soap which is good to watch.
