I have had this for about 3 weeks and have read it from cover to cover. I have the others on moving to the USA but this has to be the bible of all books on Moving to the United States.
It has how to apply for every Visa available, Green Card application, How to buy a home, How to get a drivers licence, get a mortgage, even if you are still living in the UK. How to transport your pets and what I found the best. The Public and Private Education System, if you have children to send to school you will read this over and over. It has the grades and explains the terms such a 'Freshman'. If I could I would give it 10 out of 10.

I was really disappointed with this book - in fact it actually made me angry!
It is so badly written, with spelling and grammatical mistakes on very single page. No index, no balance to the subjects (some things covered in detail others brief and often very subjective). I can't believe that publishers let this out the door -makes me wonder whether it was self published.
Some of it is so chaotically written and lacking in any punctuation or sometimes even correct words that some of it is incomprehensible.

The only insight I have taken from this book is that apparently a mix of normal and decaf coffee is known as a "schizo" coffee. Never knew that. Have got another book out of the library instead and am binning this one.

Absolutely not worth the money.

Disappointed 14 May 2010
I can't understand why everyone is raving about this book. Poorly written: so many typos, grammar mistakes - e.g. sentences that forget to end, apostrophes all over the place - that it's actually hard to focus on the content. And even mistakes e.g. that in the US they drive on the left. Seems like the publishers didn't bother to read it before putting it out and whacking a huge price on the cover.

Has very detailed info on all the different types of visa, which is why I've given it 2 stars not 1, but really don't feel that there's anything on here that a good trawl through the internet wouldn't tell you.

Wish i hadn't bought it....
This book is very flimsy on content, badly organised and not very well written. If you need a serious book on the ins and outs of US immigration then this is not it.
