Fascinating guide to London's film sites,

At last. A long awaited update to Tony Reeves's London film location guidebook, now rebranded as "Move London: Exploring the City film by film". If you're familiar with the original, you'll know what to expect, guided tours of the capital and a mindboggling wealth of detail. There's obviously the addition of newer films (The Bourne Ultimatum, 28 Weeks Later, Children Of Men, Eastern Promises, etc) but also some expansion of the original titles and thoughtful bits of tourist information for the out of town visitor. Where Reeves's book really scores is the number of photos (although quite small and, apart from a short colour section, in black and white, there are three or four a page) and the sheer amount of compulsive trivia - who would have thought the town hall in that very French film Chocolat was in Hayes?

I have been comparing London film location guide books for a while now - all good but they were all not quite right some how. This is a very detailed book, with quite acute comments and observations thrown in as well. My only criticism would be that it would be helpful to have the film titles in bold text rather than italics. Other than that a great guide, with many recent films included.

Bought this for my son who runs smallcarBIGCITY providing personalised tours of London in classic Mini Coopers. So it had a real purpose for me (and him) as customers want tours relating to particular films or genres of films. Great, did the job 100%.
