We all need encouragement to Move it or Lose it! Now you can join in with Julie’s gentle, guided exercise routine and get fit while you sit! This is a winning combination of routines to music endorsed by scientists and presented by Yours Magazine Fitness Expert and National Diversity Award Winner Julie Robinson. Great for beginners who need to strengthen their muscles, improve their mobility and prefer to exercise sitting down. This seated routine has been successfully tried and tested and is endorsed by The Centre for Healthy Ageing Research. Professor Janet Lord, Director of the Centre said, "Research has shown that being inactive is associated with poor health. As we get older it is often harder to stay active and to know which exercises to do to stay in good health. “Move it or Lose it” is ideal for older adults as it shows exercises that are easy to do and will help to improve muscle strength and all round flexibility." This workout is specifically aimed at helping you maintain independence by staying as active as you can for as long as you can and the exercises are especially tailored to suit older or less mobile people. Join Julie and the Move it or Lose it! team - follow the carefully guided instructions, enjoy the toe-tapping classical music, strengthen your muscles, improve your mobility and gain confidence. Move it on your own whenever it's convenient at home, or get together with friends to have some fun and get fit while you sit! "After my knee replacement I thought I would never be active again - these exercises have given me my confidence and independence back". Monica, aged 80 years. IF THIS ROUTINE APPEARS A LITTLE TOO EASY PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT MOVE IT OR LOSE IT! ROUTINE 2. Now available - the new Move it or Lose it! Stay fit for life book? The essential guide to healthy ageing with 30 easy to follow exercises you can do at home.

This is the first DVD that I've come across that's dedicated to exercise for the older generation. I can't speak highly enough of it and have found that I look forward to doing my daily exercises - all of them seated - and I can make them as gentle or strenuous as I want. I thoroughly recommend this to anyone who would like to improve their physical fitness while sitting down!

My Ma is 84, severely crippled with a bent spine, and has always had a life-long aversion and snobbery towards exercise. But recently she realized that she'll loose it if she doesn't use it, and asked me to get an exercise "video" for her. I chose this one, and six weeks on from receiving the DVD, she is still doing the exercises daily. That's really not bad at all, and she has moved on to a stronger resistance rubber band.

This DVD is admirably suited for its stated purpose. It is easy to follow and professionally produced with attention paid to possible physical limitations. Music has been carefully chosen to be enjoyable and appropriate to each exercise routine. I am 75 and have suffered from arthritis for a number of years. These exercises have helped to improve my mobility. Thoroughly recommended.

bought this for my Mum (aged 76 and with a neurological condition that gives balance problems and weakness in legs). She needed something she could do at home to help remain mobile as the condition is very much like MS and she has flare ups which severely impair her mobility and then leave her with less mobility than before the flare up. She was losing confidence in going out and getting weaker, due to less activity. She doesn't consider herself old, so didn't want something aimed at the elderly.
this DVD is great, it allows her to do the exercises sitting down, the music is both varied and enjoyable. She is getting on so well, we have ordered Routine 2 and one of those 'strength bands', this 2nd DVD has exercises you can do sitting or standing.
It has been at least 6 weeks and she is still using it, so defnitly a success.

I think this is an excellent DVD. A good overall workout from the comfort of a chair. No part of the body is over worked to the detriment of any other. My friend and I exercise together which is much more fun that on my own. Very pleased.

I would recommend all elderly men and women who have a mobility problem or have difficultys of any kind buy this. It is so easy to do, sitting all of the time or you could do as I have done, work out your own routine both sitting and standing. This suits me and I am sure will suit many others. It is just what I needed, as a 79 year old male with many mobility problems I find this is a ruotine that I can do when I feel like, daily or whenever. I am glad I found this DVD.

I had a new hip a couple of years ago and have been fairly immobile since - partly my own fault for not exercising enough. My daughter bought this dvd for me to try and it has encouraged me to do more exercise, as it is not too difficult to do.
I can now walk much easier and and generally find it easier to get around - I have even walked to the shops and back a couple of time too.
This dvd is very easy to do and the results for me have been great - I'm very pleased.

Bought this for an elderly man and we both did the exercises together
Really encouraging and not patronising
It doesn't matter if you can't do it totally but moving to your own capabilities is better than not doing anything at all.
What really pleased me is that the video has subtitles so it is accessible to people with hearing loss.
This man enjoys doing the video and music so yes highly recommended
