My husband is Italian and though I make an effort to cook him authentic meals, somehow I'll put something British in the mix, a pinch of this and a spoon of that and before I know it I've made beef stew again. The problem is that the Italian cookbooks I have call for very time consuming methods, even with the appetisers, but not so with this book. The recipes are easy to follow with fresh and tasty ingredients, the "Meat Sauce" recipe is fantastic. You will feel like you cracked an Italian culinary code with this book!

I recently bought another book in this series that gave recipes for entrees. I was so pleased with that book that I just had to get this one to go with it. My wife and I are both new to cooking Italian food, but with Bryan's help we are looking forward to enjoying more of it.

I bought this appetizer book because I have the first book in the series about entrees. I'm so happy I did because these also look like authentic Italian appetizers. If I listed all of my favorites I'd have to list all the recipes. But Prosciutto Wrapped Persimmons and Flatbread with Fig and Proscuitto are two that I plan to try. But the cookbook does live up to its Mouthwatering title!

I shouldn't have picked up this book when I was hungry because it just made me hungrier! The picture for the biscotti - gouda with walnuts looks amazing. Also love that he gives the recipe for a basic Italian marinade which can also be a dressing. So easy and saves money too! I've been very pleased with this series of books as I've also bought his other book on entrees which is also great.

This is an awesome cookbook. Although it isn't huge, it is packed with wonderful recipes. I love Bruschetta and I tried the Bruschetta Argula Pesto & Tomatoes today and it is delicious. So easy to make and what a treat to serve to friends or family. Next I'm going to make the Savory Focaccia Bits. They look absolutely scrumptious.

Who wouldn't love the Prosciutto with Marinated Melon? We did. I made it to have after the Bruschetta and it was excellent. Easy to make and so mouth-watering to eat. I will definitely make this recipe again. I have nothing but good to say about it.

If Bryan and his wife make these recipes all the time I'd love to eat at their house! Bryan said that his wife's family comes from Italy and it shows in the quality of these recipes. Italians are known for their good food and this cookbook provides a real window into the traditional Italian foods that are wholesome and savory. What a great book! I'll use it again and again.

After reading one of Bryan's other Italian Cuisine books (soups) I had no hesitation getting this one too. As before, all the recipes are very well laid out, easy to read and easy to follow directions. I got this book for some of the quicker appetizers, like the flatbreads and bruschettas, but there are so many mouthwatering appetizers here some of them are dishes in and of themselves. The Chicken Braciole was quick easy to make and everyone loved that. There are several pizza recipes that are going to be sure winners in our house. The Sicilian Eggplant Dip will be used next wk for a family get together.

Good price, and with a delicious & tasty selection of appetizers easily makes this a recommended recipe book in my collection.

This book is very nicely organized and includes appetizers for bread, marinades, meats, pizza, seafood, tarts (can't wait to make the Tomato Onion!) and vegetables. The recipes included range from very easy to a little more involved. I gave this book 4 stars only because I prefer appetizers that are quick and easy. There is no denying that all the recipes made me drool and that I can make the more time-consuming recipes as a meal. You won't be disappointed with this purchase.
