The first Mousehunter adventure- and it's great!!!,
By
This review is from: The Mousehunter (Mousehunter Trilogy) (Paperback)
Was told about this book by a friend, and I have to say it's just fantastic. It's a pirate adventure story, but with a difference. It is set in a fictional world where mice have evolved to fill every habitat and ecosystem imaginable, and therefore are prized possessions. Follow the adventures of a young mousekeeper as she joins the quest to capture the dreaded pirate Mousebeard.
I can't wait for the sequel- due to be published in July 2008.

Exciting, mouse-filled fun!,

I loved this book! I read most of it while I was stuck on a train for four hours and it made my horrid journey actually quite enjoyable!
The book is actually aimed at children, or young adults, but I really think it could be enjoyed by anyone. I loved following Emiline on her adventure and my favourite mouse, Portly, was lots of fun to read! It's without a doubt one of the most gripping books I've ever read. It's set in a fantasy world, but not for a second do you think it's far fetched. I kinda wish Elephant mice did exist. It's funny too, and you get strange looks from people on the train when you laugh out loud. I don't care. It's brilliant. I've already moved onto the second book in the series, The Curse Of Mousebeard, and I'm enjoying that one even more. It's a great series, with great illustrations. Five stars and two mousey thumbs up!

I really loved this book. I suspect I'm older than the target market by at least 15 years, but I ignored all the strange looks on public transport because I couldn't put it down. Highly recommended.
