This product is certainly sturdy and has a good range of movement for swivelling TV about. For the Sony 40" Bravia TV which it was listed as compatible for, the holes at the back of the plate are not well positioned for the Sony input ports and certainly wont be compatible for SCART leads. I have had to use the smallest possible, most flexible hdmi cables I could find and am currently having to cut a hole in the metal big enough to fit the SCART cable for the surround sound.
