The last wizards in the world are being murdered by a changeling of terrifying strength. The most powerful of them all is nearly drained of all his powers, leaving him a withered and dying husk of a man. Now, he must travel the world, escorted by his ancient friend and last of the dragons, to find this evil and destroy it, saving himself and the fate of all from an enemy intent on cleansing the planet and destroying humanity. White Mountain is an epic fantasy with dragons, dworlls, wizards, wargols, fire wolves, an oracle and a witch, set now within our modern world. With strong ecological themes throughout i.e. the continued destruction of the natural environment and the encroachment of an ever-expanding human population on the eco-systems around it, its rich blending of historical fact with mythological fiction, and a complex story of familial bonds, murder, dark magic, stolen identities, intrigue, friendship, betrayal, White Mountain is a contemporary twist to the classic struggle of good versus evil. Originally from a sleepy village north of Bristol, I currently live in the Cotswolds with my family and my two enormous white wolves! As a full-time teacher I have been inspiring young children for the past 14 years. However, my first passion has always been for writing stories and poetry, which I've done since I was a child. A painter and artist, I divide my time between writing, teaching and my artwork. I adore travelling when I get the chance, and have a profound love of landscapes, particularly those of New Zealand and Dartmoor, which I find very inspiring. I enjoy stargazing, playing chess, watching films (especially sci-fi & fantasy) and buying yet more bookcases for my growing library! I would describe myself as a lover of wild places and the written word and am a bit of a self-confessed nerd! When asked what my interests are, I usually smile and reply, "EVERYTHING!"
