Had the stand for a couple of weeks now. Bought it due to reading good reviews (quite a few reviews for the same stand but all in black) and ended up being slightly disappointed. My first major problem was that there were no screws provided to attach the stand brackets to my TV. Perhaps this is because different TVs need different size screws? However, none of the reviews I read made me think that this would be a problem (`up and running in 20 minutes etc.'). The screws weren't missing - as the instructions clearly say 'use additional screws'. My TV is a 51inch Samsung plasma that has been on a stand (stand screws are much smaller and no other screws were provided with the TV when new). Its a few months old but due to moving house I had no idea where the instruction book was. The online manual from Samsung had no reference to which screws I needed (purely talks about using the TV and all its features) so I phoned Samsung and they didn't know and gave the number for a spare parts company - they didn't know. The internet didn't seem to be much help either. B&Q didn't know but were insistent that the screws should have come with the stand. It was a bank holiday weekend and Mountright who make the stand were closed. A few days later I found the original manual. It had a diameter size but not a length so I delicately put a knitting needle through the holes of the TV to establish how long the screws should be (as too long and they would cause damage). I then managed to source some screws from B&Q for £2.50 and this put an end to the saga which wasted several hours of my time and lasted several days!
In general the TV looks much smarter than before. At first the TV was not level and this was altered by adjusting the screws at the back as there is quite a bit of give if you loosen them. One of the wing nuts has a damaged thread and won't tighten so the TV might slip off level over time so this will need to be replaced.
This stand is not advertised as having any 'swivel' so I can't hold that against it but in hindsight this would have been great feature as with this - the entire stand would need to be moved to adjust the viewing angle.
Also by 'cable management system' they mean '2 holes in the back' which every TV stand I have ever seen has anyway. Cables don't/can't go inside the centre of the stand so while you can make an effort to get your cables neat and tidy - the TV stand doesn't give you a helping hand.
Despite this review being quite negative I'm fairly pleased with the TV stand as it does look good - but its not perfect.
