The large 2.2 Litre oil capacity and 1.2kg food capacity allows for family sized frying anytime. Just received this. I haven't even switched it on and its going back.
The big letters on the box read 1.2kg of chips and in smaller letters it reads In 2 fryings. This means its only 0.6kg of food.
The fry basket is permanently tilted with a raised dimple on the bottom plate meaning you would have to mess about with the basket contents otherwise half your food would still be raw.
The mis-representation of the capacity just proves the point to me that this product is not up to scratch as if it was, then Moulinex would not need to resort to small print in the features.

Fryer ok for the price but has it's faults. You can't raise the food out of the oil without removing it completely cos the basket sits at an angle so some of the food carries on cooking. Also cooks way above temperature and not easy to clean as you can't take apart.

The first batch of chips done in this fryer were perfect. Really nice. And since then, they have been dreadful. All temperatures have been tried. No matter what you do, the chips are burnt to a crisp on the outside and raw on the inside. If I had my choice again, I would definitely NOT buy this fryer.

Excellent fryer
I have had my fryer for a couple of years now, it cooks chips to perfection, if you set it on 170 deg C, and cook for 10 - 12 mins, shaking after the first 5 mins. Read more

reasonable performance
IT COOKS CHIPS REASONABLY WELL, BUT THE FILTER DOES NOT STOP SMELLS FILLING THE KITCHEN. THE OUTSIDE OF THE COOKER IS ALSO TOO HOT TO MOVE UNTIL IT HAS COOLED DOWN AFTER APPROX. Read more
