I have used it regularly for the past 10 years. I am on the second one at the momont. I have to say my wife uses this on a daily basis. The blender makes everything from juices, to batters to sauces. the grinder is classic for anything. It says dry ingredients, but we have used it to make wet and dry pastes From powders , chutneys to curry pastes. On a daily basis. SO i highly recommend this product.

I'm really surprised that some people have had a bad experience with this. I bought mine a year or two ago to replace a previous model which I'd had for 20+ years and had finally given up the ghost. I hunted high and low for a reasonably priced combination mill/blender, finding only expensive 'smoothie makers' and separate coffee mills before coming across this. I use it everyday to make my morning smoothie and it is great. I don't get any lumps or pieces of fruit left in the bottom. The mill is useful - I especially use it to turn granulated sugar into caster sugar for baking, which saves loads of money. It is easy to clean needing just a quick rinse.

I bought this to replace an old moulinex blender for making smoothies, but am back to using the old one. If a blender cant cope with a soft banana leaving lumps at the bottom, I dont reckon much for how it would blend anything else.

I bought this to replace my previous similar product by Moulinex which I had for 20 years with frequent not always careful use Then the fuse kept blowing so I bought this.It is a more streamlined design than the previous one and the mill is better. You have to turn the mill upside down to open it which means less likely to get coffe grounds everywhere as it all falls in the lid bit.It is very good for grinding coffee beans and for usual blender things

Back in the 1970's we bought our Mum a Moulinex Coffret 5 blender and coffee mill for a pressie. (It was something she wanted before you ask). Oh the excitement of owning such a kitchen appliance! We could barely stop ourselves from singing the famous jingle - "Moulinex makes things simple - and that includes the price!!!". It was a rugged little thing and got worked to death. Twenty years later (1997) in a swirl of nostalgia, I was astonished to see they still made them - and yearning for the taste of my Mum's Leek and Potato soup, I bought one for myself. Nothing had changed, it still spat it's contents all over you cos the lid didn't fit properly and it still gave you an electric shock when you put it away. This one died in 2008, and I've not the heart to throw it away yet. Anyway it's worth remembering that Moulinex went bust a few years ago and was hoovered up by Magimix - so out went the Coffret 5 and in came the Optiblend series! Which is all I was left with to replace mine. All I can say is it's too big. the jug is too large an area for the stuff you're blending in to blend properly, unless you leave it on for a lot longer than (the old model) would need. This is because stuff can slop around in the jug and completely ignore the blades - rather than be dragged towards them as it would if the jug was narrower. Bit annoying that. Also - The Coffret 5 was a compact piece of design with the built in coffee mill - Why couldn't they save space and do the same with this? Oh! I know - it's to stop the contents of the blender disappearing into the motor when the seal goes! (like the Coffret 5.) Pity though - it would have made the thing easier to store.Read more ›

This liquidiser/mill would have to take the prize for the most disappointing piece of kitchen equipment that has ever entered my house. I bought it on the basis of the reviews on Amazon but begin to wonder whether I have a different model. I have been without a blender for over a year and am not 100% sure what make my previous one was (either Toshiba or Kenwood) but it knocked spots off this charlatan. The Moulinex liquidiser seems to need regular shakes to get lumps to the bottom yet still manages to refuse to do what it is supposed to. What is even worse is the mill. This may as well not have been included. I used my previous one to mill spices and crush chopped onions, garlic and ginger to make a paste; perfect every time. The Moulinex won't crush anything, sends bits of ginger and garlic round and round without doing anything to them and has an unsatisfactory and inefficient way of locking together. All in all the worst kitchen item I have ever bought.

I bought this blender based on the good reviews as I wanted to use it to make soups and smoothies. This blender does not work well for smoothies as even unfrozen fruit is not blended but left as "chunks" at the bottom of the blender.

I read all the previous reviews before buying this blender. I am extremely satisfied with it as it does everything I want it to do. Perhaps the only criticism I have is that it is a bit noisy when blending but that's a small price to pay.
