Bought these as belt-and-braces extra weatherproofing for connections on the Netgadgets self-install satellite dish. We are at high altitude in North Wales and wind and rain can be extreme! They fit tightly into the sockets in the pull-out cable weathershield on the back of the LNB, and are a bit fiddly to wriggle into the sockets without nudging the dish alignment - I recommend fitting them after major alignment (with Satfinder) and before the final delicate tweaking.

Think these are a Polly Vinyl compound not rubber, anyway they are great as a fluid ingress preventing sheath for satellite cable, cheaper than condoms and I suspect less prone to degradation through UV exposure (Never seen that on a condom packet but I expect the intention is that it dose not see the light of day until finished with)

The rubber boots that arrived are nothing at all like the ones shown. They do not have the lip, which would secure to boot to the LNB housing. They are just a tube that is thicker at one end than the other. I have not used them yet but I fear they would not stay on the LNB screw thread.
