I bought several of these sets for my granddaughters aged 3-6 and was charged with helping them to make the models. This in the end meant I had to do most of the mixing and pouring as the moulds are very small and the consistency of the mix together with the timescale for getting the plaster into the moulds is quite critical. However, the girls all wanted to be involved, though they then found it difficult to wait for the plaster to set before we could paint them. This raised another problem - looking at the pictures on the box it appears that it's possible to create figures with facial features and to paint in designs on the clothing. Not possible, even for an adult. They are far to small and the brush provided not suitable for the job. Having said that, the girls enjoyed their own version of painting the figures (they were completely unrecognisable, as was the one I did!)so some entertainment value was gained, but I'm not sure the mess and end result were worth the cost of the sets. The pins for brooches and magnets to make fridge magnets didn't work that well either!
