A huge amount of attention to detail has been put into its design, from the beautiful anodized aluminium finish, to the unique precision cut keypad that looks good and helps to shave some extra millimetres off the V3's vital statistics. The phone is striking to look at, apart from the "thinness factor". The use of metal alloys in the construction of the V3 sets it apart from the plastic used in so many phones. It looks and feels like a very high quality phone.
The keypad has a revolutionary precision-cut design, with the numerals chemically-etched to keep the pad flat. In the dark, the whole keypad lights up with a blue glow giving a very cool effect.
Despite its size, the V3 is a fully featured phone that even exceeds Motorola's very high-spec V600. The external screen is a full colour screen which displays useful information like incoming calls, battery life and signal strength, and inside is a stunning 262,000 colour TFT display that is one of the best available. That's quite a surprise for a phone of this size.
The V3 also comes with a good quality digital camera, video playback (but not recording), full Bluetooth" wireless connectivity, polyphonic ringtones (including MP3 ringtones), Java games, a speakerphone and quad-band capability for global roaming. The phone has been designed to be practical as well as beautiful, and is easy to use with intuitive menus, similar to the V600. The aluminium alloy case is not only lightweight, but strong too, and should survive everyday bumps and scratches.
The V3 performs as beautifully as it looks.

Cute little phone,
This review is from: Motorola V3 - O2 - Pay As You Go Mobile Phone (Wireless Phone Accessory)
At first glance, this phone looks brilliant. It's stylish, slim and fairly small, with a gorgeous (and huge)screen that is undoubtedly one of its best features. The only design feature i wasn't very happy with were the coloured buttons on the keypad, which made the phone look a little childish in my opinion. And, while it looks pretty great, I wasn't overly impressed with the practicalities of it. Firstly, the camera is pretty good, and takes high quality images that rarely blur. However, I, for some reason, thought you could take video clips with the phone, not an unlikely bet saying that you can both take pictures and record sound, as well as the fact that the phone can play pictures. As far as I know (and I experimented for a long time and looked at the manual)you cannot take videos with this phone. After discovering this, my overall estimation of the phone went down significantly. However, I was hard-pushed to find any other real prblems or niggles with it. The bluetooth feature worked perfectly, the games and extra features, such as MOTOmixer were also great. Overall it is hard to fault this little phone, except for the lack of a video clip feature, and, were Motorola to correct this, I would have given it 5 stars.

Returned to Motorola after two years using the rubbish Sony Ericsson 610T.The Motorola is in a league of its own.Fell in love with it as soon as I saw it.Reception was a problem in the house with previous mobiles. Not so with this. The phone itself looks and feels quality. The 256k screen is stunning in its colours and navigation with the 4 way key couldn't be simpler, or more logical.Picture messaging and WAP browsing with the S.E. was a nightmare;not so with the V3, both functions performing with ease. The keypads compared to most phones are big which is a Godsend if you have chubby fingers like me.Bought the phone as an upgrade for £40 through T-mobile, but I was prepared and would have been happy to have paid full price for it (£250).Fantastic phone!

This is the 2nd Motorolla I have had, my wife gave me her's when she got another type of phone, but I don't think you can beat them. When the old one gave up the ghost I got a new one and it is great, when you go abroad I have no problems with it like some people have, the only downside is the camera it is not as good as the old one but then I don't use it much, you do need full sun and light to get any sort of decent photo. But all in all I would not change mine. Dennis
