    5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 27 May 2009
    By Chris
The T7 is well put together and nice to hold: the sides and back are made of a tough but slightly grippy rubber. It's at the higher end of the entry level walkie talkie price range but I think worth the extra.

Lots of features and clear audio.

The only negative and this goes for all PMR radios is that the range is less than adverised on the box. 0.5 to 2 miles is more realistic. You will be able to get further if you're both standing on high spots with nothing between you.

Overall tough, well built and easy to use.

I bought these radios for outdoor use at work in the Sahara Desert which is as flat as a pancake so was quite optimistic that these radios would work at least 5 kms apart. WRONG! Despite trying nearly every channel/sub-channel combination, i get a range of only 2-3 kms so very disappointed. On the plus side these radios are well built so will take a fair bit of bashing. Sent back for a refund, will try a different brand.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but advertised range is drastically wrong 3 Aug 2010
To start with this product comes as a pack of two which is not wholly obvious, so I now have 4 radios. They are reasonably well built although with closer inspection they don't look like they would survive too much rain. They have a good feature set and with a number of channel configuration options its easy to get the radios working without interference. However the range is dramatically lower than stated. Even in a straight line when you can see the other user with no obstacles it is closer to 2km maximum not 10 Km.
