5.0 out of 5 stars Significant upgrade 11 Nov 2011
I've upgraded from an HTC Desire - a lovely phone, but beginning to feel a bit dated due to limited memory and inability to handle some of the more demanding apps available. I decided to go for the Razr for a number of reasons:

- the thin profile suits how I carry the phone
- I sync a lot of data with evernote so I like the encryption options
- the build quality with kelvar and gorilla glass means I can avoid the bulk of a case
- more power
- will be upgradable to ICS soon

So far I'm very pleased. The screen size and responsiveness make for a very pleasing experience. I was initially concerned about the battery, but after tweaking some settings to avoid unnecessary syncing it appears very good - e.g. dropped 10% overnight with wifi on and syncing enabled.

5.0 out of 5 stars Motorola RAZR XT910 - Truly Excellent! 6 Dec 2011
By GsyMoo
Motorola RAZR Sim-Free Smartphone - Black

I've had my XT910 about 10 days now and I'm chuffed to bits with it.

I chose it over the SG2 & IP4 due to it's slightly more uniqe looks and the fact that you can hot swap the micro SD card withought having to dismantle half the phone.

Other things I really liked - straight out the box it can read and edit Word and Excel documents, you can use MotoCast to grab these documents direct from your PC from anywhere in the world (so long as your PC is on), and it bounces nicely when you drop it from 4ft or so.

At first battery life was tragic, but then I found the smart and task managers could be set to shut down applications 2 minutes after the screen had timed out, and now I'm writing this on a RAZR that hasn't been on charge for nearly 30 hours!

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice phone 18 Nov 2011
By DKDCNMP
I upgraded to this phone from a HTC Hero, and it is a massive leap forwards. It's amazing how far the phones have come forward, and I am sure in time I will be even happier with this phone, but there are a few gotcha's with the phone.

This is only the 8G model, not the 16 that some sites are selling, and there is no SD card supplied, so other sites might be a better offer. That said the phone is top quality, it feels well built and incredibly slim. Battery life is not great at present, but I am working on building up the Smart Actions to cover the times when the power demands could be reduced, and getting the task manager to handle rogue tasks.

I am looking forward to ICS when it arrives, which I am sure will make this even better.
