Terrible phone 17 Dec 2008
By lotus
I had to get a replacement for my V3 Razr (which went wrong after nearly 3 years) and didn't want to spend a lot of money so I bought this at the local supermarket for £25. It is honestly the worst phone I have ever had. I only need a phone for calls and texts, don't really use it for anything else, so for me it was disappointing on all levels. The sound quality is terrible for calls, the texting is slow and confusing because it is always 'catching up', and it is very slow to charge. I didn't expect a good camera or any bells and whistle for that price, but now I'm just going back to the V3 (which I have found on the net for £30 plus £10 air time, which I will keep for emergencies). I need a phone where I can hear what the other person is saying!. On the positive side, it is reliable and looks quite nice. OK for a kid but if you want a 'proper' phone, don't buy this one.

I got this phone for my wife after she threw her Nokia N73 down the toilet, it was on offer for about twenty pounds from our provider at the time (Virgin); we'd both had N73's so after she complained bitterly about this phone for texting we swapped SIMs and off I went. I only really use a phone for work calls with agents and texting.

I can only say this has to be the single worst phone ever produced. Texting is the most frustrating thing on the planet; it takes about ten times longer to write a normal, simple text message than on any other phone I've used; it's even worse than the first mobile I ever had (Phillips Savvy); also, and somehow unknown to man or beast, I appear to be stuck on some sort of half-English / strange dialect unknown to any race or creed of human's on the planet that I can't for the life of me get off of.
Even the most simplest of words are miss-spelt - for example on the predictive text, if I try and type "together" (86438437) the phone gives me "Uniftgdp" as the first option. If that's a word in any known human language I'd like to know.

The menu interface is simply awful, counter intuitive; whoever designed it, I hope, has been sacked. Mobile's in general always have shocking interfaces, but this one takes the biscuit, and don't get me started on the web browser, honestly, what was the point? Well I'll answer that one, there isn't any point. It's just awful. Have I used that word before? I might have done, let me use it again, it's AWFUL!

If I could give this minus stars there would be no end to them, I can't believe that someone's given it three stars. That's generous beyond words.

If you are thinking of getting this phone for yourself or a loved one then I beg you not to (if you want to really annoy someone or your buying it for someone you dislike, then go right ahead); Motorola should be paying anyone who has this phone a vast compensation for having the temerity to produce such a dreadful mobile phone then have it pass any sort of QA/QC procedures or tests. It's an insult to technology.

A Kid's Review
I got this phone about 4 years ago and i love it! its dead basic and i will probarbly get a new fone sometime soon but it calls, texts, takes fotos and has a cool game that i luv 2 play when i'm bored LOL! It is a little on the clumpy side and can be a bit annoying, but its survived lots of times when i've dropped it (oops! ;-P). Overall, it's really good for a simple phone!

Did not give instructions for deleting anything, otherwise easy to use. Does not need charging as often as some phones.
