Well I have just upgraded from the Motorola 810 bluetooth headset ... which was a great bit of kit, but battery life was a bit limited ...The reason I stuck with Motorola is that the 850 like the 810 is small, discrete and extremely comfortable ... so much so, I often forget it is there. Talk time is supposed to be up to 8 hours with 200 hours on standby ... I've never been let down ... charging is fast too. The most important things are that reception is clear, its small and light

Well, I have only had mine a few hours. Firstly, Amazon.co.uk were great in the speedy dispatching and delivery. Secondly, so far, it appears this is a GREAT item! Packaging/instructions/charging were all perfect. Pairing was made easy in the instruction manual and with reference to my phone's manual (Motorola V525). Also, so far, I have made and received 5 or so calls and the quality of each has been superb. One suggestion, however, is perhaps to include a lanyard or something like this... I'm not going to wear it unless I'm answering/making a call, so that would be better than putting it in my pocket. The flip microphone is also a great feature, all you have to do is open to receive a call and close to make sure you get the best battery life! 5 stars out of 5 stars for a quality Motorola product.

Great product, but fails to charge,

This headset is superb for all the reasons people say here -- battery life, flip mic, comfort, wind noise tolerance -- except it has one major design problem. It has the crappy Motorola plug with three little pins to charge the battery. On this as on my previous Mot phone, after a little while the plug is extremely sensitive and must be gingerly inserted 10 or 20 times to get it to charge. Even then it often stops charging in the middle. I have read reviews elsewhere on the web and everyone seems to complain of this same problem with all Mot mobile devices. I have tried three different Mot chargers and they all have the same problem. The problem first arose after about 2 weeks of use and has gotten progressively worse over the last 6 weeks. I still might buy this again because the design is so excellent, but be prepared to send it back to Motorola once a month as the charger outlet stops working.
